Definitions
- openscience.works — the website and services offered by martijnroelandse.dev b.v., established in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, Chamber of Commerce no. 84477547.
- Customer — the person or organisation with whom martijnroelandse.dev b.v. enters into an agreement.
- Parties — martijnroelandse.dev b.v. and the customer together.
Applicability
- These terms apply to all quotations, offers, activities, orders, agreements, and deliveries of services or products by or on behalf of openscience.works / martijnroelandse.dev b.v.
- Parties may deviate from these conditions only if they have explicitly agreed in writing.
- The parties expressly exclude supplementary or deviating general terms of the customer or third parties.
Website use
- Public pages on openscience.works are provided for information and exploration of research impact narratives derived from open data sources.
- Metrics, roles, and summaries are interpretive and may change as underlying data or methodology evolves. See the About page and Disclaimer for scope and limitations.
- Unauthorised scraping, bulk download, or automated access that impairs site operation is not permitted without prior written consent.
Offers and quotations
- Offers and quotations are without obligation unless expressly stated otherwise.
- An offer or quotation is valid for a maximum of one month from its date, unless another acceptance period is stated.
- If the customer does not accept within the applicable period, the offer lapses.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros, exclusive of VAT and other costs unless stated otherwise.
- martijnroelandse.dev b.v. may adjust prices for services at any time; customers will be informed before price increases take effect where applicable.
- Invoices are payable within one month unless otherwise agreed.
Intellectual property
- martijnroelandse.dev b.v. retains intellectual property rights on designs, writings, data structures, software, and methodology used to operate openscience.works, unless parties agree otherwise in writing.
- The customer may not copy, distribute, or make available such materials to third parties without prior written permission.
Liability
- martijnroelandse.dev b.v. is liable only for direct damage caused by intent or gross negligence.
- Liability for indirect damage — including consequential loss, lost profit, or damage to third parties — is excluded.
- Where liability applies, it is limited to the amount covered by professional liability insurance or, in its absence, the invoice amount relating to the claim.
Applicable law
- Dutch law applies exclusively to agreements between the parties.
- Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district where martijnroelandse.dev b.v. is established, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
